ODETTE / 2023

Odette by Sigalit Landau presents a ballet tutu submerged in the Dead Sea, transformed into a crystalline salt sculpture. Through a natural process of crystallization, a light, airy garment becomes a heavy, frozen object, connecting body, memory, and movement with stillness and material transformation. The work moves between delicate beauty and a sense of suspension and death, inspired by the swan figure from the ballet.
